Non-planar ring oscillator (NPRO) lasers have set the standard for reliability and robustness in demanding scientific environments for decades. It delivers exceptionally low noise—over ten times lower than competing systems—and outstanding frequency and power stability as a continuous-wave source, enabling highly accurate, repeatable measurements in the most demanding experiments.

With up to 400 mW of output at 1064 nm, the Ten64 is ideal for a wide range of precision optical applications. For experiments with even stricter noise requirements, a 250 mW low-noise mode is available, ensuring optimal performance in any scenario.

Beyond standalone operation, the Ten64 excels as a seed source for amplification, providing unmatched stability and spectral purity for power scaling. In one demonstration, a single solid-state amplifier boosted the Ten64’s output to 40 W while maintaining excellent beam quality and ultra-low noise, highlighting its suitability for high-power laser systems that demand both precision and reliability.

A comprehensive characterization and comparison with other laser sources was carried out at the Albert Einstein Institute in Hanover, where the Ten64 was originally developed under the name AEI NPRO.
