Ten64
Laser Source

Ultra-Stable Single-Frequency,
Single-Mode Laser Source
at 1064 nm Wavelength

VM Photonics Ten64 laser source

The Ten64 is the world’s lowest-noise NPRO (Non-Planar Ring Oscillator) laser — setting new standards for the performance of single-frequency solid-state lasers at a wavelength of 1064 nm.

Its exceptional power and frequency stability make it the perfect laser source for precision metrology, quantum optics, and all applications where noise performance is critical. With a continuous-wave output power of up to 400 mW, it offers both the power and reliability required for demanding experiments.

Significant advances in design and specially optimized noise suppression systems enable the Ten64 to achieve a noise level more than ten times lower than that of previously available NPRO lasers. Combined with its state-of-the-art control unit and customizable interfaces, it can be seamlessly integrated even into the most complex optical systems.

TwinPD
Photodetector

Ultra-Low-Noise Balanced Photodetector
for Homodyne Detection
and Precision Laser Stabilization

VM Photonics TwinPD balanced photodetector

The TwinPDs are balanced photodetectors featuring back-to-back orientated, socket-mounted photodiodes — engineered for the most demanding applications in balanced homodyne detection.

Every TwinPD is individually tailored to your requirements for wavelength, bandwidth, quantum efficiency and optical power range.

With decades of experience in detector design we are able to reduce the detector’s intrinsic noise well below the signal levels required to resolve your measurements. We are always eager to take on new challenges and continuously push the limits of detector sensitivity.

We also offer fully custom-designed single-element photodetectors. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

A Company that Emerged from the Gravitational Wave Research

Founded by Henning Vahlbruch and Fabian Meylahn, the VM Photonics GmbH produces state-of-the-art products in their modern manufacturing facility in Springe (Germany). The young and innovative company’s light sources and laser stabilizations push the performance limits in your experiments to the next level.

User-friendliness and reliability as well as a modern design play a high role for VM Photonics’ product evolution. The complete process of development, assembly and testing of all optical and electronic components take part in the highly clean environment of the manufactory located in the Hannover region.
